Sophia is from Erie, Pennsylvania, and joined the Karayilan Lab in 2022. She is a second-year student pursuing a BS in chemistry on the pre-medical track. Outside of the lab, she is a member of the club water polo team and enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends.

Jaimie is from Bethesda, Maryland. She is a sophomore pursuing a BS in biochemistry and a minor in music. Outside of the lab, she plays with the Case/University Circle Symphony Orchestra and enjoys drawing and singing.

Daniel is a senior pursuing a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Polymer Science and Engineering. He is from Metuchen, NJ. He is studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Polymers Science & Engineering. Outside of the lab, he serves as both a Resident Assistant and the Captain of the CWRU Club Crew team. He enjoys weightlifting, biking, and rowing. He is an EMT and an Eagle Scout.

Alexey is a second-year undergraduate student at CWRU from Moscow, Russia. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering on the biomaterials track with the intention to go to graduate school and conduct his independent research in the future. He loves being outside and always tries to find new ways to connect with nature.
